Learning to Rest When You’re Unwell

There was a time I would have tried to push through if I felt unwell, I’d haul myself out of bed, keep going, tick off tasks, convince myself I couldn’t “waste the day.” Therapy and breathwork have taught me something different. Now, when I'm unwell or need rest, I stay in bed, I rest, I breath and I let myself recover. There’s no shame in this, in fact it’s a form of care. I’ve learned that ignoring these signals only prolongs illness andexhaustion Self-care isn’t always about action, it’s about pausing. Sometimes it’s simply giving yourself permission to be still, to recover, to be gentle with your body. In a session with me, you’re supported every step of the way. I’ll be there to guide you, hold space and help you feel safe as your body releases what it’s ready to let go of. There’s no pressure, no judgement just a gentle invitation to breathe and allow whatever comes to the surface

Why There Isn’t One Breathing Technique for everyone

A gentle introduction to a more personal approach to breathworkMany people come to breathwork hoping for a simple answer. They often ask, “Can you just show me the breathing technique that works for anxiety. When you feel anxious, panicky and overwhelmed you want something that will help you feel calmer and more relaxed. But here’s something important to understand there isn’t one breathing technique that works for everyone. We’re not all starting from the same place, each of us has a different nervous system, shaped by our life experiences. Some people feel constantly on edge, their system is alert, busy and finds it hard to settle.Others feel flat and exhausted energy, low mood, and disconnected from themselves their bodies need very different support. So it wouldn’t make sense to give them the same breathing practice.
